Valley hikes
While kids find new friends in the kids‘ club, mums and dads get to experience an alpine idyll up close, since Kleinwalsertal fufils their hiking needs.
Breitachklamm
Near the Walserschanz border station, the route proceeds down to the upper entrance of the ravine (Kasse Berg). A sightseeing tour of the ravine takes around 1 hour. Return from Tiefenbach via local bus (change in Oberstdorf), or on the same route back to Gasthof Walserschanz.

Upper altitude trail
From Walserhaus ascent via the Gerbeweg and Rohrweg trails to Oberhirschegg. Continue via Schöntel and the mountain station for the Heuberg lift via the upper altitude trail to Bühlalpe. From there, descend via the Maisäss to Mittelberg.

Bärgunttal circuit
Beautifully scenic hike without any real climbs. From the bus stop in Baad on the circular hike into Bärgunttal to Bärgunthütte and on the circular route back into the valley.

Nebenwasser-Letze circuit
From Hirschegg near the church into Dürenbodenstrasse and down to Breitach, into Nebenwasser to Schwabenhütte, head out of the valley to Riezlern via the Jahnhütte in the town of Letze and back via Leidtobel bridge to Hirschegg

Natural bridge
Easy circuit which offers plenty of diversity; spectacles - waterfalls, eddies and natural bridges. From Riezlern via Leo Müller Strasse and the Fellhornweg trail to the Alten Schwendebrücke and along the Schwarzwasserbachweg trail to Mahdtalhaus. Take the branch-off to the left and proceed via the Karolinenweg trail to the natural bridge. Via the Kesselschwandweg trail up into Egg and at the social centre via the ravine to Riezlern village

Fiderepass
Lovely hike with a beautiful panorama view to the Allgäu Alps, Ifen and the Gottesacker area and via ferrata route; you need to be fit to complete this hike. From the Kanzelwand mountain station via the Rossgund and Kühgundalpe to the Fiderepasshütte (2065m). Descent via Vorderwildenalpe, Fluchtalpe and Inneren Wiesalpe to Höfle. From there, proceed via Höflerbrücke and the Höflerweg trail into the village.

Grosser Widderstein
The highest mountain in Kleinwalsertal; the ascent of the summit proceeds through rocky terrain and requires sure-footedness, a head for heights and a good level of fitness. Those who reckon the ascent to the summit will be too difficult can also do this tour, hiking around the Widderstein. An easy, very beautiful tour. From Mittelberg into the valley via the Sonnhalde to Bödmen. Continuing into the valley and via the Gemstelweg trail into Gemsteltal. Via the Gemstelhütten up to the Gemstelpass and continuing to Widdersteinhütte. Possible ascent to the summit (2536m), or continue via the Hochalp pass into Bärgunttal, continuing to Baad.

Kuhgehren
An easy mountain tour, even for beginners, with beautiful views to Hirschegg, Mittelberg, Baad and across to Ifen. From the Kanzelwand mountain station via the Adlerhorst to Kuhgehrensattel and to Kuhgehrenspitze (1910 m). From there, via the Innere Kuhgehrenalpe down into Wildental, past the Inneren and Unteren Wiesalpe, and Bergheim Moser into Wildentalstrasse and via the Sonnhalde into the village

Geißhorn
A beautiful, not too difficult tour; fitness and sure-footedness required for the summit path. From Mittelberg via Moosstrasse and Sonnhalde to Bödmen. Continue via the Gemstelweg to Gemsteltal. Via Obere Gemstelalpe and Sterzer Hütte to the Geißhornjoch. Ascent to the Geißhorn summit (2366m). Continue via the Schwabengrat ridge to Mindelheimer Hütte and Kemptner Scharte. Descent via Hinterwildenalpe into Wildental. Pass Fluchtalpe, Inneren Wiesalpe into Höfle. Via the Höflerbrücke and the Höflerweg trail to Mittelberg

Krumbach altitude trail
From the Kanzelwand mountain station via the Kühgundalpe to the Fiderepasshütte (2065 m). From there via the Krumbacher altitude trail to the Mindelheimer Hütte (2058 m). Descent via the Kemptner Scharte into Wildental. Past Fluchtalpe Innere Wiesalpe - Untere Wiesalpe and Bergheim Moser into Schwendle. Via the Wildentalstrasse to Bödmen and via the Sonnhalde back to Mittelberg

Alphotel family hiking tours with Maria
In summer there are at least 2 hiking tours every week for the whole family. We discover the surrounding mountains with Maria. The little ones have fun investigating the lateral valleys in the Kleinwalsertal area. It’s no great hassle with baby joggers or back carriers. And if need’s you can use 4 wheels, with a pram.
