From Germany:

A7 motorway junction Allgäu to Oberstdorf
Waltenhofen motorway exit, to Oberstdorf into Kleinwalsertal.

From Switzerland and Austria:

via Lauterach and Dornbirn, Hittisau, Balderschwang, Fischen, Oberstdorf into Kleinwalsertal.
!!!Riedberg pass!!! Shorter route but not recommended when there is heavy snow!
or via Bregenz, Lindau, Oberstaufen, Immenstadt, Oberstdorf into Kleinwalsertal.
In Kleinwalsertal via Riezlern to Hirschegg, in Hirschegg pass Walserhaus/Post, follow the slight right hand bend in the road, after around 100m take a right into Schlößleweg; serpentines take you right to the top and you’ve arrived – this is Alphotel.

To Kleinwalsertal by train

For those of you travelling by train, the main station is in Oberstdorf in the Allgäu which is 10km away.Direct through carriages run from Münster (Recklinghausen, Gelsenkirchen, Essen, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Bonn), Hamburg, Munich, Augsburg, Berlin, Dresden, Hof/Regensburg and Chemnitz.

Continue from there by taxi or bus. Taxis are available round the clock at the train station. The Walserbus (terminal right at the train station) operates during peak season, running every 10 and 20 minutes. The journey to Kleinwalsertal lasts around 25 minutes.
